Applying Door Wood Grain Effect

Rather than hard surface repairs. This is Applying Wood Grain Effect.
A traditional technique to make wood look a higher quality timber. We were contracted by MDH ltd to restore the woodwork to a grade 1 listed building in London. This was one door that had been badly damaged by dog claws.
The first picture is the door & frame having damage carefully filled  and smoothed level
Second picture is door with lighter basecoats applied  –  keeping original panels that has been repaired
Third picture is the door with scumble glaze applied and then paint grained to match the original colour and graining strokes. To the clients complete satisfaction
